FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Freehold, NJ July 18, 2026 CVPSD, a leading provider of enterprise safety and compliance training programs, today announced the appointment of Ann O’Brien to its Advisory Board. O’Brien brings over four decades of distinguished healthcare leadership, clinical expertise, and regulatory compliance experience to the role.
Her unique background combining frontline crisis intervention in high-risk psychiatric settings with macroscopic mastery of corporate healthcare compliance will be instrumental in guiding CVPSD’s program architects as the organization expands its enterprise-level training solutions.

"Ann’s profound understanding of both the clinical realities of behavioral crises and the strict regulatory frameworks facing modern enterprises makes her an invaluable addition to our team," said William DeMuth, CVPSD. "Her strategic insight will ensure our training programs remain fiercely realistic, clinically sound, and perfectly aligned with the evolving safety demands of our clients."
A Proven Track Record in High-Stakes Healthcare Leadership
O’Brien’s career spans executive administration, utilization management, and frontline crisis intervention. Her extensive leadership experience includes:
Enterprise Compliance & Utilization: Currently serving in Utilization Management at Humana, O’Brien oversees medical necessity, resource allocation, and care optimization. She previously served as a Regional Compliance Director, directing strict adherence to federal Medicare guidelines, clinical documentation auditing, and appellate quality improvement frameworks.
Healthcare Entrepreneurship: As the former Administrator and Owner of Southern Iowa Home Health Care, and RN Administrator for Advantage Nursing Services, she directed multidisciplinary medical teams, managed capital budgets, and ensured total alignment with complex healthcare regulations.
Frontline Crisis Intervention: Crucially for CVPSD’s mission, O’Brien spent a decade at the VA Medical Center on a locked psychiatric unit recognized as one of the largest and most volatile in the United States. There, she routinely applied advanced de-escalation techniques to manage acute mental illness and behavioral crises. She later leveraged this experiential knowledge to manage utilization review for Wellmark Blue Cross/Blue Shield’s Behavioral Health Department.
Driving Enterprise Safety and Compliance
At CVPSD, O’Brien will advise on the development of training methodologies designed to mitigate risk, protect personnel, and ensure corporate compliance during high-stakes behavioral situations.
