April 24, 2025 — The Center for Violence Prevention and Self Defense (CVPSD) is proud to announce it has been awarded a federal contract to provide Onsite Self-Defense Training, including both Basic and Advanced Natural Control Response Tactics, to federal law enforcement and non-law enforcement employees. This initiative underscores the government’s commitment to workplace safety and the well-being of its personnel across diverse roles.

CVPSD, a registered contractor with the United States, specializes in delivering high-quality, evidence-based self-defense and violence prevention programs tailored for government agencies and the private sector.


The awarded contract will enable federal organizations to access hands-on, scenario-driven training at their own facilities, ensuring employees are equipped to recognize, prevent, and effectively respond to threats in the workplace.


Self Defense Training Program Highlights:


  • Threat Recognition & Prevention: Training in early warning signs of aggression and de-escalation techniques.

  • Situational Awareness: Developing habits that enhance safety in and out of the workplace.

  • Practical Self-Defense Skills: Instruction in effective techniques to escape, defend, and survive violent encounters, with a focus on Natural Control Response Tactics suitable for both enforcement and non-enforcement roles.

  • Legal & Ethical Considerations: Guidance on use-of-force policies specific to government environments.


The Natural Control Response Tactics curriculum is designed for rapid learning and retention, accommodating employees of all sizes, strengths, and experience levels. The training incorporates realistic simulations to ensure skills are applied effectively under stress, increasing confidence and workplace resilience.
