The intensive training, conducted from August 4-8, 2025, was designed to equip federal agency staff with advanced skills in de-escalation, redirection, and control techniques to manage high-risk situations effectively and safely.


The program emphasized practical, evidence-based strategies for threat assessment, non-lethal intervention, and injury prevention, tailored to the unique operational needs of the federal agency.


The curriculum also focused on a blend of psychological principles and practical, non-lethal techniques. Participants learned to identify pre-attack indicators, use verbal redirection to de-escalate tense encounters, and apply safe control tactics when physical intervention becomes necessary. This training is part of a broader initiative by the federal agency to enhance the safety of its staff and the public it serves.
